Every Single Marvel Show Announced on Disney Plus Day

November 12, known as Disney Plus Day marks the second anniversary of the giant streaming platform that includes a plethora of content from Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, National Geographic and many more. Here is the complete list of all Marvel shows that will be making it’s way to Disney Plus over the next two years.

Ms Marvel – Summer 2022

Iman Vellani will play the character of Pakistani American superhero Ms Marvel/ Kamala Khan. Filming for the show began in November 2020 and will be available for streaming exclusively on Disney Plus.

She-Hulk – 2022

Emmy-winner Tatiana Maslany will debut as Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk in the Disney plus comedy series. Mark Ruffalo will return as Hulk with Tim Roth playing Abomination. She-Hulk specialises in superhuman-oriented legal cases, so we can expect some familiar names in the series.

Moon Knight – 2022

Oscar Issac will play the titular character Moon Knight – a hero with multiple personalities and Egyptian lore. The first footage didn’t reveal much but Marvel treading into uncharted territories definitely excites longtime fans. The series is directed by Mohamed Diab with Jeremy Slater as head writer.

X – Men’ 97 – 2023

The most talked-about show from the event has to be the return of the beloved animated 1997 X-Men series. It was also reported that the show will pick up after the events of the original series. Surprisingly, the voices actors from the original run will reprise their roles with Cal Dodd as Wolverine, Lenore Zann as Rogue, George Buza as Beast and more.

Echo – TBD

While the Disney plus show Hawkeye is set to drop in November, a spinoff series featuring the deaf Native American (Alaqua Cox) is already in the works. 

I am Groot – TBD

A new animated series featuring everyone’s favourite alien from The Guardians of the Galaxy is making its way to Disney Plus! The series was first announced in December 2020 and will be directed by executive producer Kirsten Lepore.

Agatha: House of Harkness – TBD

This series is a spinoff from WandaVision that that will focus on the titular evil witch (Kathryn Hahn). Described as a ‘dark comedy’ Jac Schaefer will return as executive producer and head writer.

Ironheart – TBD

Riri Williams played by Dominique Thorne is set to take up the mantel of Iron Man in the upcoming show Ironheart. While it may take a while to see someone other than Robert Downey Jr. running around in a suit of armour, the series has a variety of directions to explore. 

Secret Invasion – TBD

While Captain Marvel (2019) and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) set the tone for Skrulls secretly living on Earth, Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) and Ben Mendelsohn (Talos), will continue the story. The show will focus on a faction of shape-shifting Skrulls who have been infiltrating Earth for years.

What If…? Season 2 – TBD

The well-received anthology series surrounding the MCU multiverse will return with Season 2. Considering season one ended on an endgame-level finale, expectations will be much higher for its second run.

Marvel Zombies – TBD

Marvel Zombies which were introduced in What If…? will be returning with its’s own animated show sometime in the future.

Spider-Man: Freshman Year – TBD

A new animated series starring Spiderman (Peter Parker) will be swinging to Disney Plus soon. The show will follow Parker on his journey to become Spider-Man, the one we know and love from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

With so many shows and movies on the way, it will be interesting to see which direction phase four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will expand. Will superhero fatigue kick in at some point? We will just have to wait and watch.
