Marvel’s Hawkeye Trailer Brings Back The Festive Season

Hawkeye is the next Marvel Cinematic Universe show that will be premiering on Disney+ on November 24. The Jeremy Renner starrer will be taking place right around the Christmas festive time. The trailer for Hawkeye gives us our first look into the whimsical adventures of the sharpshooter.

While it’s a rare sight to have superhero movies or shows around the festive season, executive producer Trin Tranh described the show as “grounded and funny, packed to the brim with Christmas spirit.”

Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) made his debut in phase one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Thor (2011). Since then, the character has been largely sidelined by the big names in the franchise, until now. The series will focus on Clint Barton (Hawkeye) played by Jeremy Renner with Hailee Steinfeld portraying his new partner: Kate Bishop. The show will largely revolve around the former passing on the torch to the latter.

What If…?, the animated Marvel Disney+ plus show is currently in the middle of its 10 episode run. With another show on the way, it seems that 2021 is a joyous year for Marvel fans. Check out the festive-themed poster for Hawkeye!

The trailer seems to hint that Clint Barton’s vigilante act as Ronin in Avengers: Endgame might have unexpected consequences. Clint and Kate seem to have their hands full and are facing off against bad guys who are not quite happy with Ronin’s vigilante actions during the five-year time skip in Avengers: Endgame

Florence Pugh, who made her debut as the deadly assassin Yelena Belova in Black Widow will also feature in the show. For those of you who skipped the end credits of Black Widow, Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) manipulates Yelena to think that Clint Barton is the reason for Natasha Romanoff’s death.

The six-episode show will also star Vera Farmiga, Tony Dalton, Fra Fee, Brian d’Arcy James, Zahn McClarnon and Alaqua Cox.
