John Wick 4 Will Be The Longest Film in the Franchise

John Wick 4 is one of the most eagerly awaited action film projects that is slated for release in early 2023. Keanu Reeves will be back to play the deadly hitman John Wick and execute people in even more creative ways than before. It won’t be long before we see the fourth instalment as John Wick 4 arrives in theatres on March 24, 2023.

The John Wick 4 trailer was released at San Diego Comic-Con which includes all the hallmarks of a Wick film. The fourth instalment of the John Wick series will ostensibly include every tried-and-true component that has made the series a fan favourite. It appears that the adrenaline will not be waning for what has been reported to be the penultimate movie in the series, with gun and sword fights in strobe-lit nightclubs and high-speed automobile chases.

It might even be more explosive than its previous instalments as the fourth movie will be set in five nations: Japan, the US, France, Germany, and Jordan, according to director Chad Stahelski and star Keanu Reeves, who made the announcement at San Diego Comic-Con.

Although the exact running time of John Wick 4 has not been disclosed, it will be more than two hours and eleven minutes since it’s the longest installment in the franchise to date. The first “John Wick” film lasted 101 minutes, while John Wick: Chapter 2 was 122 minutes long and at 131 minutes, John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum was even longer.

Apart from Keanu Reeves returning as John Wick, the rest of the cast includes Lance Reddick, Ian McShane, Rina Sawayama, Donnie Yen, Shamier Anderson, Bill Skarsgård, Hiroyuki Sanada, Scott Adkins and Clancy Brown.
John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum, the third instalment in the franchise was a commercial success, which gave the studio even more justification for backing the creation of a larger universe.

When Will John Wick 5 be Released?

John Wick: Chapter 4 and John Wick: Chapter 5 movies were initially intended to be shot back to back when they were first announced. This technique of shooting multiple movies at once and releasing them within one or two years gap has been used by different franchises in the past such as Mission Impossible and Avatar

However, John Wick’s film production team later opted to separate the filming of Chapter 4 and Chapter 5. While John Wick: Chapter 5 is still in production, John Wick: Chapter 4 is currently in post-production.

There is no set release date for John Wick 5, as it is currently under production. Given that they completed the fourth instalment and were shot separately from the fifth, it is evident that they will take their time with the subsequent instalment.
